Meta-Human Abilities: Slowed Aging. - With year of exposure to the Time stream, Michael has begun to slowly age. Though, this hasn't stopped his hair from thinning.
Standard Abilities: Peak physical being: Being a former university football pro, Michael has always been in good condition. Since his looks are important to him, and being a hero, Michael has kept himself in great condition.
Self-taught historian: Michael took History in university and while he didn't graduate, Michael has always had a fascination with the past. With the help of Skeets and constantly putting himself into the past, he has learned many things about history.
Businessman: Most of Michael's life has revolved around the importance of money. Since coming back in time, he has paid close attention to the business aspect of his companies and has kept learning more about business.
Paraphernalia: Michael employs a supersuit that provides him with his means of super-heroing.
The suit provides him with enhanced strength and durability. Through exertion, Michael is able to lift 20tons, and able to convey that into other forms of strength, be it a punch, kick, etc. The suits innate durability is enough to make bullets bounce off with no harm to the weary, though they do offer a small stinging sensation.
His durability is enhanced by Brainiac 5's force field belt that not only enhances his suits durability, but also allows for some neat tricks. Though often localized to personal use, it can be expanded to envelop a small group and offer protection from falling debris. It also allows the user to breath in space, as it holds in air. The air can become stale, however, and by no means is a suitable acceptable us of space travel for extended periods of time
Mounted on the wrists of the suit are two energy blasters that can go from pea-shooters to being strong enough to blast through a few feet of solid concrete.
To top off his suit, Michael has included a small time travel device into it, allowing himself to travel the eras at his leisure.
While technically part of the suit, his headgear acts as its own separate entity. It provides him with a targeting system, ultraviolet, electromagnetic, inferred and xray vision, and enhanced hearing.
Providing him flight is a Legion Flight ring.
Subject Weaknesses: Human. Despite his supersuit, Michael is still 100% human. Gunshots, sickness, age, all those effect him. Mentally, Michael is always seeking approval and has been known to have an arrogant streak to his demeanor.
On a side note; Michael, in the future, will slowly develop a form of time-sickness that will piece-by-piece tear his body apart. Fragments of his body will be displaced in time, constantly jumping to different eras. This will slowly and eventually kill him.
Subject History
(Michael has a very long history and as such, I have just taken the first few paragraphs from DC Database)
Michael Jon Carter and his sister Michelle Carter where born as twins to a loving mother and an irresponsible father in Gotham City in the 25th Century. On their 4th birthday, their father left the household to pursue his true love, gambling, leaving a huge gambling debt behind for the struggling family. Michael became a football player in college with the nickname "Booster", hoping that he would make it into the big leagues, when his mother was suffering from a debilitating disease that required a treatment that his family could not afford. Turning to the same vice as his father, Michael made bets and purposely threw games in order to earn enough money for the treatment. After his mother was cured, Michael was arrested and put in jail for gambling, instantly breaking his mother's heart.
After he was set free from jail, Michael managed to get a job as a security officer for the Metropolis Space Museum, where he saw images of superheroes from the 20th Century that were legends in his time. Deciding to change his life and become a superhero himself, Michael stole some artifacts from the museum as well as the security robot Skeets and used Rip Hunter's time machine to travel back to the late 20th Century. It was there that he made his public debut, saving the life of the President of the United States from the Chiller as the new superhero Goldstar. Nervous, Michael misspoke on live television and got stuck with the name Booster Gold instead.
Booster Gold was a main player in the revamped Justice League International, run by Maxwell Lord, during the late 1980's. Booster teamed up with Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle, who quickly became a good friend, together causing some major trouble for the League, and drawing them into some of their funnier adventures, including setting up a casino on a living island. Frustrated at the lack of respect he received from his teammates, Booster quit the JLI and formed The Conglomerate, though he would later return to the League's ranks. During the battle with Doomsday (a name that Booster coined to describe the monster who would eventually kill Superman), his suit was destroyed, leaving him no longer able to function as a superhero. Ted came to the rescue and built him a new suit, although it was much bulkier and tended to malfunction. During a battle with the Overmaster, Booster was mortally wounded, losing his suit and his right arm. Ted built Booster another suit, which also served as a life-support system and included a cybernetic arm.
This incarnation of the Justice League eventually fell apart and Booster Gold joined with Extreme Justice. It was during his time with this team that Booster made a deal with Monarch, who restored his arm and health. Another new costume was constructed, this time in part from Skeets, bringing Booster back to his former power level.
After the death of Sue Dibny, Booster, becoming disillusioned with his fellow heroes, gave up the Booster Gold identity and returned to normal civilian life. This did not last long, as he teamed up with his friend Ted to find who was manipulating Kord Industries, an investigation that led to Ted's death and Booster's temporary hospitalization. During the following crisis, Booster brought together former team members of his version of the Justice League to help find the killers. After this group encountered a trio of O.M.A.C.s, which resulted in the death of Rocket Red IV and the hospitalization of Fire, as well as the destruction of the power source of Booster's suit, Booster left the group, claiming that he was going "home."
Subject Interview
Though Michael had been part of this Era for a good number of years now, he still was always childishly fascinated by their holidays. Sure, in his time they had Christmas and Hanukkah and other holidays, but there were some that this time had that he didn't. Tonight was one of them. Tonight is was Halloween. Here kids got all dressed up as any assortment of things and went door-to-door to get free candy! Michael wasn't a big fan of candy, or junk food in general (hard to keep these good looks when you eat that unhealthy), but he was always a fan of admiration. And how cool would it be to be a kid and dress up as your favourite hero?!
Michael's mind went back to his childhood, not finding any sort of memory to ever dressing up as any figure. These kids were lucky, this was truly an amazing holiday they didn't see the full scope of.
The golden hero always took the time to watch a block or two to see what the kids were wearing this year. It always seemed like Batman, Superman and Catwoman were the favourite costumes. Michael always noted the lack of Wonder Woman costumes and was never not surprised by this. And why Catwoman over Diana? Michael would never have the answer for that. He also noticed when he spotted teenagers heading in or out of a highschool party, Powergirl was a very popular outfit for the girls. Oddly enough, for the boys John's Green Lantern outfit seemed really popular.
A small part of the hero was always crushed when he never saw a costume for himself, or any of his former International friends. What really made him wonder though, was if everyone gave him so much flack for being a sell out, why did none of them ever stop the manufacturing of their outfits as Halloween costumes? That seemed very hypocritical to him.
All his thoughts were taken away as his eyes landed on a small sight. He had been lost in thought, but also keeping an eye on the area, just in case someone had a really nice costume, or something bad sprung up. Instead, however, he noticed a young child, no more than six, seemingly alone. Michael didn't assume, however, and watched for a moment. He wasn't about to go and speak to the child if he really wasn't separated from his family. But after another moment or two passed, Michael felt his heart sink a little. This child had been separated from his family.
The hero descended slowly towards the kid, who began to look around frantically, clearly on the verge of tears. "Woah, woah, woah. It's okay. It's okay." Michael spoke, his voice very steady and calm. The boy looked to him, Michael could tell he was scared. "It's okay. You're right to be nervous, that's fine. Your parents probably taught you note to talk to strangers, that's good" Michael added, lowering finally to the ground. The boy gave a small nod and Michael returned the nod with a small smile. "You can talk to me though, it's alright. I'm a hero. I'm B-"
"Y-You're Booster Gold. I-I know you" the boy stuttered.
Michael was a little surprised, but relieved the child would recognize him. That made this talk a lot less awkward.
"I-I...I can talk to you. Y-You're a hero" the boy nervously added, clutching his treat bag close to his chest.
Michael nodded, his goggles scanning the boy to see if he was hurt in any way, but also monitoring the boys heart rate and vitals. He was very nervous and Michael didn't want to see him go into shock from getting lost from his family. "Just like you, Batman. You're a real hero. A bit shorter than the last time we met though" he told the boy, who was decked out in a very nice Batman costume. The boy looked down, then back up to Michael however, and shook his head no.
"I'm...I'm not B-Batman. Y-You know Batman?"
"Do I know him? Oh Bats and I go way back. Other than Superman, I'm probably Batman's best friend, truth be told" Michael stated, a wide smile on his face. Clearly he was lying, Bruce could care less for Michael, but the kid didn't have to know that. Luckily, however, that line seemed to calm the child. Michael noticed the boys heartrate steadying, and his grip on his candy bag had loosened. "Can I ask you a question though?" Michael asked, receiving a small nod. "Did you by chance get separated from your family?" he posed his question, his voice back to it's calm and steady tone. The boy nodded again, raising his candy back to his chest. "Do you and your parents have a meeting spot incase you get separated? I could take you there and stay with you until they come if you like" he offered.
The boy nodded again and pointed off down the street. "The...Th-the park" he stuttered, quickly taking Michael's hand, giving it a small tug in the direction.
Michael nodded to the boy and allowed him to lead the way, holding the young child's hand, offering him the comfort of feeling safe. He was glad the had warmed to him enough to let him help. He knew he needed people to think he was a pompous idiot, but even a pompous idiot wouldn't let a child be separated from their family.
The two did soon arrive at the park, having it only be a short walk away. The two found a fountain in the middle and took a seat, silence falling over them briefly.
"I must say, your costume is very well put together. I really did think you were Batman, just a shorter version of him" Michael told the kid, breaking the silence.
"I-I di-didn't want to be B-Batman" he replied. The kid paused briefly and Michael tilted his head.
"Who did you want to be? Superman? Me?"
"I...I can't say. Y-You'll laugh at m-me. M-My friends laughed at me..."
"I promise you I wont. You have my word as a Justice League member"
The child paused, looked away, then back to Michael. "I-I wanted to be W-Wonder Woman"
The blond couldn't help but smile. "Really? Wonder Woman?" Michael questioned. "She is amazing. Why would your friends laugh at you for that?"
"B-Because she's a girl. Boys d-don't go as girls for Halloween"
"What's wrong with dressing as your favourite person for Halloween? Wonder Woman is the bravest and best fighter I've ever known!" Michael proclaimed, excitement in his voice. "You know...I ever saw her beat Superman in an arm-wrestling contest before!" he added, his voice almost that of a child spreading gossip on their favourite heroes.
"R-Really?"
"And you know what else? The only thing Batman is scared of? It's Wonder Woman. That's how amazing she is" he added, a firm nod following his words. The boy smiled brightly back at him and nodded. "It doesn't matter what your friends say, if that's what you want to go as, go as her! And if anyone laughs at you, do what Wonder Woman would do and BOP 'EM!" Michael stated confidently. This got a small laugh out of the child, who's head quickly turned as voice called out for him.
The boys parents and a young girl (presumably his sister) came running to the fountain. Both the family and the boy ran to each other, embracing in a hug before the boy pointed eagerly at Booster, pulling his family towards the blonde.
The family came to Booster, the mother embracing Michael in a hug, the father giving him a firm nod, their daughter riffled through her candy, throwing out boxes of raisins.
"Thank you so much for helping our boy out! We have no idea how we got separated!" the mother explained, her voice shaky. Clearly, she had been crying early, presumably from losing her child.
"All in a days work, he was a very brave young man. Braver than even Wonder Woman I'd say!" Michael stated, nodding at the boy. The parents clearly missed something as they looked from Michael to their son who looked back from Michael, to his parents, to Michael.
"I-I wanted to g-go as W-Wonder Woman for Halloween" the boy explained quietly.
"You should have just said so, I could have sown you an amazing Wonder Woman costume instead" the father bellowed happily.
"Folks ,I don't mean to intrude, but I must be off-" Michael began, only to be cut off by another hug from the mother, joined in by the young boy this time. The mother kept muttering her thanks as she clung to the blond before finally letting go. "Trust me, it was no trouble looking after...Sorry, I never got your name, other than little Batman"
"Theodore! E-Everyone calls me T-Ted though" the boy explained, before his parents nodded and picked him up, heading off and allowing Michael to head off to where he needed to go.
But Michael didn't go. He was briefly stunned upon hearing the child's name, his heart sinking briefly.
"Skeets, meet me in Chicago. We're visiting Beetle" Michael spoke after tapping his visor set.
