Full Name: Evan McCulluch

Age: 31
Gender: Male
Archetype: Meta Villain
Aliases: N/A
Marital Status: Single
Affiliation: Central City Rogues Gallery | the Secret Society of Supervillains | the Injustice Gang
Subject Attributes
Meta-Human Abilities:
-Master of the Mirror Dimension- Extensive use of his mirror based gadgetry has granted Evan the ability to travel through the Mirror Dimension without the use of his own gun. He can travel through just about any reflective surface on the planet, and carries his own deck of small handheld mirrors. This allows for a quick and easy escape for the Regent of Reflection, and he can even drag allies or enemies in with him.
The Mirror Dimension hosts the opposite reflection of every single mirror across the planet, and allows McCulloch to travel anywhere, almost as fast as the Flash. On top of this, the Mirror Dimension is host to a plethora of different worlds, men, and monsters lurching in various planetoids scattered across this eldritch universe. Some, island havens of rest and relaxation, others warring medieval realms, and others....? Well, Evan prefers to avoid those.
Standard Abilities:
-Glasgow Gangster- As a hoodlum on the streets of Glasgow, the young Evan McCulloch ingratiated himself with local crime syndicates. It's here that he learned basic skills for survival, including hand to hand combat and adept marksmanship
Paraphernalia:
-Mirror Gun- The magnificent creation of his predecessor, Sam Scudder; the Mirror Gun is a powerful multipurpose tool with a plethora of different powers and abilities. These include
-Mirror Dimension Travel: Access to the Mirror Dimension is as simple as aiming at a mirror and firing
-Illusion Casting: Through the manipulation of photons, Mirror Master is able to construct semi-autonomous mirror duplicates himself which are completely subservient to only himself. They have all of his own powers and abilities, which means they can even replicate themselves. These mirror doubles aren't exclusive to him, however. Mirror Master is also able to make subservient mirror copies of his enemies, which includes their powers and abilities (excluding any meta-human durability). It's of note that all of these duplicates will shatter immediately with just one punch
-Glass Statue: The Mirror Gun has a great deal of funky features and armaments, but at the end of the day it is still a gun. A gun which fires photons of light through special lenses. Once struck, these specialized projectiles will crystallize your skin until you're naught but a humanoid pane of glass.
Subject Weaknesses:
-Self Reflection- Despite all of his bravado and bolster, Evan McCulloch secretly seething in self loathing and anger. A cacophony of shame for the Mirror Master name, disgust in his own actions, and the inability succeed has brewed a pitiful sense of self worth and a hatred for every iota of his own being.
-Glass Canon- Behind all the gadgets and illusions, Mirror Master is just a normal man with a gun, and can be quite easily taken out with but a single well placed punch. The trick is weeding through his duplicates and copies and squaring off against the real Evan McCulloch.
-The Rogue Rules- Leonard Snart's central tenants, the Rogue Rules are the ultimate law of the land and are imposed on every member. Failure to follow these rules often means punishment or even death depending on the severity of the crime. These rules are as follows:
1. No killing "capes". This attracts far too much heat.
2. No killing women or children.
3. No using drugs. Rogues need to be alert, and on the straight and narrow
4. Avoid killing cops and civilians
5. The Rogues are a family, and there's nothing more important than family.
6. Rogues have each other's backs.
7. Killing another Rogue is unacceptable.
8. Once a Rogue, always a Rogue.
9. Never take advantage of the sick or needy.
10. No dealing drugs.
11. Leonard Snart's word is law.
12. An eye for an eye, revenge is acceptable as well as self defense.
-Addiction- Evan is so overwhelmed by his own self pity, and so haunted by his past that he's turned to hard drugs for an answer to life's many questions. It is a problem he and Leonard Snart often buttheads over. His low self esteem and drug addiction is currently spiraling his life into a slow and passive form of suicide.
-Empathy Problems- Due to a combination of many things, his childhood, his career, his drug abuse, and his general downward spiral in life, Evan has problems connecting to others, and generally treats those around him with a relative amount of arrogance and hostility.
Subject History
It all seemed preordained. Like destiny. The divine hand of God himself demanding it. A mere child born in the slums of Glasgow would fester and grow into the Mirror Master of Central City. Master thief, assassin, and supervillain. These are the humble origins of the unnamed bastard child of Louis and Carol Erikson.
Circa. 1989, the young newlywed couple Louis and Carol Erikson are pregnant and expecting. Frightened of the prospect of raising a child, they gave up their newborn child for adoption. It was then that the newborn was taken up north to the small town of Kirkcaldy, where he was taken in by the McCulloch orphanage. The headmistress, a kindly old soul named Ms. McCulloch, became a beloved mother to him, and even named him. That nameless child was now, Evan. Evan McCulloch. When he grew, it became quite evident that he was a happy lad. Even when other children ere chosen over him for adoption, he put on a smile. He really didn't care. Not that much. To him, Ms. McCulloch was the only mum he needed. It wasn't perfect, but his life was cozy and sweet, just the orphanage. However, life has a funny way of throwing you a curveball....
At age eight, Evan was sexually assaulted by an older boy in the orphanage. Finding inner strength, the boy defended himself, and ended up going so far as to kill his attacker. His outlook on life was... Different after that. Reflecting on the events later on in life, McCulloch has come to realize an innocence was lost that day. He was more grim. Distant. Nothing felt real. It wasn't long after that he ran away from the orphanage and took to the streets of Glasgow. It was around this time that he began to ingratiate himself with the criminal underworld. He trained himself in hand to hand combat and marksmanship, taking up the role of a mob hitman. Over the years, he grew infamous as one of the best assassins in the business, and received contracts from all over.
Business was steady, and Evan was completing contracts left right and center. He was on the job one day, having just pulled the trigger on another contracts when he realized he'd just murdered his own father. The news left McCulloch both disturbed and distraught, he attended the funeral and intended on meeting his mother the next day, but found that she'd given in to her own grief and committed suicide.
Evan's infamy as an assassin garnished the attention of various organizations overseas. Specifically, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, whom approached him personally. They offered him a job as a mercenary, and outfitted him with the costume, equipment, and notes of the recently deceased supervillain, Sam Scudder A.K.A the Central City Mirror Master. Under their employ, Evan McCulloch became the new Mirror Master and was contracted to kill several enemies of the state. One in particular was the superhero and animal rights activist, Animal Man. They clashed on several occasions, and grew to respect each other as rivals. Eventually, Mirror Master got sick of taking orders from the Feds. He murdered his superiors and went rogue, eventually taking up residence in Central City.
It was at this point that he was approached by Leonard Snart, the criminal known simply as Captain Cold, and offered a position in the Rogues Gallery. Mirror Master accepted the proposal, and like his predecessor before him, acted as the Rogue's very own get away driver. His ability to be anywhere at once made Evan McCulloch a valuable asset to the team. It was here that the second Mirror Master had started facing off against Central City's protector, the Flash. Specifically Wally West.
Having joined the ranks of costumed petty crooks in Central City, Mirror Master naturally found himself entangled in their various affairs, including the Rogue Civil War where he posed as the Pied Piper and framed the musical rogue for the murder of his own parents.
Mirror Master next found himself and the rest of the Rogues ensnared in the rivalry between Inertia and Impulse, the newest iteration of the Flash and Reverse Flash rivalry. Inertia had some cockamamie scheme to freeze time in Central City, thus allowing all the criminals to pillage and plunder to their hearts content. This was (of course) a lie, and the whole ordeal caused the death of then, Flash, Bart Allen. Needless to say, McCulloch had fun, but Leonard Snart was livid. The group fled underground, but Snart was determined.... McCulloch could see that twinkle in his eyes... It was time for revenge. Captain Cold declared war on Zoom, hunted down his little sidekick, and each rogue took a turn curb stomping young Thaddeus Thawne into mulch.
In the blackest night, when the dead rise from the grave and all words are threatened by the terror of Nekron and the Black Lantern Corps, it takes both the strongest of supermen and the prettiest pettiest of crooks to keep darkness at bay. Mirror Master fought alongside his fellow Rogues in the blackest night, fending off the black lantern rogues in Iron Heights, specifically squaring off against his predecessor, Sam Scudder in the Mirror dimension. Afterwards squaring off against the Renegades of the 25th century, Rogues of the future, at Sam Scudder's old base of operations.
Subject Interview
They say the eyes are window into the soul. That they can reveal a man's truly twisted and horrible nature. Well, what do the eyes of a cold blooded killer reveal? Those of a heartless assassin from the underbelly of society? "There was a man so cold, no life was in 'is eyes" Do they reveal a shallow man with vain hopes of filling the void in his soul? Perhaps they reveal a pathetic little creature, twisting up his life and letting it shrivel up before him? Maybe they reveal someone so lost, he could only find his way through murder? "'E had a look so hard, I'd never seen 'im smile" Whatever the case. A murderer's eyes are dark and shallow. Grim with a dire anticipation. They are like an echo of something that was once so vibrant and innocent. Now, they are dead. Horribly dead. When you take one life, it's as if you've taken two, because the eyes become a hollow void. Tainted. Sad. Dead. The watery eyes of a dead fish. "I could've told ye' then, you'd heard it all before"
Gotham City was not his usual stomping grounds. In fact, Rogues tended to avoid such a cesspool city. It was a sick place of maniacs and madmen, but a job was a job. In particular, this was the sort of job that Leonard Snart would not approve of. Murder and buddying up with the mob were two things the Rajah of the Rogues Gallery did not enjoy. Most of the "family" would of believed that Mirror Master was over that sort of life. Old habits really do die hard. "Target's in sight, Cobblepot" Penguin. The king of Gotham City. The fine feathered freak of the Iceberg Lounge. That robust little birdy of prey is perhaps the only sane man in this stinking city.
"Hrumpf! That's Mister Cobblepot to you." The haughty squawks of Cobblepot's indignation rang throughout Mirror Master's earpiece. The obese pitter patter of a flightless bird, annoying and not unlike a nasally child. "Ye', ye', just remember our deal, Pengers!" the sinister Scotsman chuckled dismissively. "Of course. Five hundred thousand in cash, and I'll even throw in a few drinks at the bar!" Cobblepot's voice oozed in a palpable smug pride. Most of those "A-Listers" were like that. So full of themselves. So vain. As if a drink with them were some grand honor. It got grating after so long on the job. "'An a date with Poison Ivy, ye' portly piece of sh!te!" Penguin hadn't liked it the first time Evan had suggested that little stipulation... And McCulloch did so love pushing buttons. "That was never on the table you rapscallion!! How indignant! Have you any idea to whom you speak!? I am no mere peddler in cheap prostitution! I am a criminal of class! Of cunning! I'll have you know-" <click> "Tha's enough a' that.... Was worth a shot though!"
This was it. No turning back now. It was breadwinning time. With grim and gleeful anticipation, McCulloch cocked a smile. "And now you're in suspense, you'll have to wait fer more." Evan sang jovially. A workman's tune of sorts, the sort of infectious pop music which burrows into your ears and never comes out. He looked over and onwards from his building perch, gazing out into the Penguin's fiefdom as if he were the caped crusader. He was a predator, stalking his prey. Analyzing it. Anticipating it's next moves. And then... When recon had been sufficient enough for his standards? The hunt began. "In all those mysteries you're taken by surprise!"
With a backwards dive, Mirror Master jumped off his building perch. It was graceful. Like a swan. He began plummeting towards the pavement, and just when he was about to go kersplat!! The Pharaoh of Photons found his plummeting body phasing right through a small refractive puddle. An entire human body, squeezing gracefully into a splash of water, no bigger than a child's hand. "Ye' never thought to see that look was in his eyes...." McCulloch's target, a mafioso by the name of Lucky Lou Alsante (one of crime boss, Rupert Thorne's wise guys) was currently dining with his comrades in some beatnik establishment on the south side of Gotham. It was a trashy joint, with bottles and other rubbish strewn here there and everywhere. Lou, the slob that he was, was currently stuffing his face with whatever Mediterranean breads he could get his grubby mitts on. "So I says to the guy, 'that ain't no frickin' calzone! It's your mother!'" His stooges chortled and cackled like the sycophantic dogs that they were, but Mirror Master was having none of it. The momentum of that swan dive propelled the Roguish Reflection flying out of a neighboring glass bottle. The look on ol' Lucky Lou's face was priceless!! Evan went up, and up, legs crossed cozily in the air with a cheeky grin, dual wielding mirror guns. McCulloch fired at one of the goons with a ping ping ping ping!, his rear ended finally plummeting back down after that brief moment of levitation. "There's a man with no life in 'is eyes!!"
The assailant vanished just as abruptly as he crashed in.... The costumed freak plummeted into a glass bottle and just like that poof! He was gone! "What da #%$& was that!?!?!?" Old Lucky Lou demanded to deaf ears. One of his cohorts had ducked into cover. The other was not so lucky. He looked so pale... Like a porcelain doll. Bewildered, the second goon approached the figure. "Nicki....? Nicki!? Jesus!!!" The goon gave a tiny poke at his comrade, and just like that, Nicki shattered like glass. Without warning, the assailant struck again.... This time flying out of an old glass mug from the bar. He went up, aimed from his crotch, and with a ping ping ping ping! Went plummeting face first right back down. "There's a man with no life in 'is eyes!!" The second goon attempted to shield himself from the blasts... His skin cracking and creaking as he was suddenly frozen in place as a solid glass statue. This left only old Lucky Lou... He knew this was it! The jig was up!! Cobblepot must've really been fuming to send a maniac like this after him!! Desperate for survival, Lou made a mad dash for the front door in an attempt to flee. "No!! NOOOOOOO!!" But he didn't make it.... Mirror Master leapt through the reflection of a window, and tackled him down, both men falling through the reflection of an old Heineken on the floor. "I was the only one who chanced it from the start"
This was it... The final stretch of the job. The grand finale. Evan had tackled Lucky Lou into a glass bottle and, with Evan on top of Lou, they were both plummeting through the Mirror Dimension like one massive meteorite. They cascaded through the void, glittery shards of glass whizzing pass them, glinting in translucent shades of red, blue, purple, green and everything in between. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!!" Evan held his captive by the collar as they plunged ever deeper into the shimmering abyss. The Mirror Dimension was always so.... Magical. The simmering shards of light pulsating out waves of color across an unknowable blackness. Even amidst Lou's ear damning squeals, there was something so unfathomably tranquil about falling endlessly through the endless trail of mirrors. "There was an evil sense, I swallowed to my heart"
Even as.... Creatures. Evil, unknowable creatures stood on and watched from the shadows. Faceless tendrilled monsters lurching on in the darkness. Unfathomable. Unholy. Blasphemous creatures. They were everywhere, but still... Even still... Beyond them there was retina burning gorgeousness to this never ending pit of loghts and despair!! They continued hurdling down, Lou crashing his head through three separate floating mirrors. "Unf! Unf! Unf!" Plummeting through the void with neither rhyme nor reason. "And as I took the vow a thought had come to mind" Unfathomably foul creatures staring and glaring on all the while. Even as the unyielding screams of Lucky Lou prattled on through the void... Even as horrific eldritch creatures casted their condescending glow to him... The world, everything and everyone around him, froze in place. Everything was so clear. Every iota of time and space, meaningless. All his past trouble, trepidation sand transgressions, lifted away in one single instantaneous moment of clarity. Everything was put into perspective. The universe suddenly aligned as he thought of his friends. Of his family. How Leonard Snart, his very best friend, would not approve. Nothing made sense, but everything did.... God what a bad trip this was becoming....... "There was a winter mist, I dared not look behind"
"In all those mysteries you're taken by surprise" This was getting too intense.... Evan heat telling himself over and over like a broken record!!!!.... Enough was enough... He couldn't keep doing this... Not the assassinations, nay! Those were simple! A quick cash grab, one and done... But the drugs... God... Drugs in the mirror dimension... Those horrible... Hideous.... Monstrosities. They formed and deformed... A million trillion eyes, slimy tentacles wriggling about, a jiggling grotesque mass of putrid eldritch nothingness... "You never thought to see that look was in his eyes" He needed to end this... God... He needed to get out of the Mirror Dimension... Why!? Why couldn't he have just sobered up first!?!? Why!? Why!? Why!? "There's a man with no life in his eyes"
They crashed into some barren planetoids crag at the center of nowhere on earth. Mirror Master knew that he needed to end this... End this and get the hell out of this nightmare.... "There's a man with no life in his eyes" With little thought, Mirror Master pulled out a jagged shard of glass and attempted to stab Lou in the neck with it. "In all those mysteries you're taken by surprise" Lou held the makeshift knife at bay, then rolled over. They tussled around that dirt and dust, rolling too and fro, both sides attempting to play keep away with the shard of glass. "You never thought to see that look was in his eyes" The shard was knocked away. Lou was the first to stand. He threw a punch towards Evan. Evan dodged, then threw his own punch. "Yes in his eyes" Then he threw another. "Yes in his eyes!!!" Those creatures of this Twilight Zone... The horrific eldritch monsters. They did not leave. They loom over the duo as they fight. Pulsating masses of tendrils. Horrible, slimey white meal worms splattering from their horrid fangs and splatting against the ground below. "There's a man with no life in his eyes" Mirror Master grabbed ahold of that glass shard a second time. It was time to end this... "There's a man with no life in his eyes"
Violently, Evan stabbed the shard into the side of Lou's throat. Lou sputtered and gasped instantly, then fell limp. "There's a man with no life in his eyes" The creatures... The millions of unyielding eyes of those creatures. They stared, and they stared. But then, one long fleshy leg stepped up to the crag, it was massive, four times the size of a human. It heaved up a massive, scrawny, almost skeletal body, with long dangling arms and spindly claylike fingers. Then it's face.... That horrible monsterous face. It had glowing white eyes, and a horrible smile with its mouth agape. It groaned happily, then reached out to Evan. He screamed, leaping out into the void and through a looking glass. "There's a man with no life in his eyes" McCulloch landed into pavement, heaving horribly... But the job had been done. All that remained of Lucky Lou was a hairy Italian leg, with lurching, smiling, drooling creature looming over it with an unfathomable glee.
