Meta-Human Abilities:
- Accelerated Healing: After his genetics were manipulated by Dr. Sivana, Connor gained the ability to heal his wounds at a rate faster than the average non-meta human. Larger wounds take longer to heal but small wounds such as cuts take mere seconds.
- Ageless Longevity: An offshoot of his accelerated healing, it keeps him young, healthy, and in his prime.
- Enhanced Stamina: He's able to endure more without getting tired as easily as the average person. His body also requires less, such as food and water, to function properly, though he still requires some food and water.
- Enhanced Physiological Attributes: Attributes such as his strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and sensory system are at the peak of the average human's limits. When his genetics were manipulated by Dr. Sivana, his mental and physical attributes were also healed of any natural genetic damage or hindrance.
- Pain Tolerance: He can withstand multiple types of injury feeling little to no pain. It seems to take a lot to cause him physical pain. Some injuries just cause mild discomfort.
- Clairvoyance: A trick learned from his zen training, it gives him the gift of vision. He doesn't often use this ability but he's received visions in the past, such as one alerting him to his father being alive when he'd thought he was dead.
Standard Abilities:
- Archery: Though his archery isn't as good as it was before his coma, he's been working on it and honing his skill any chance he gets. He's close to being at the skill level he was prior to being in a coma.
- Marksmanship: Going hand in hand with his archery, he's had to re-hone this skill to where he rarely, if ever misses a target. He's
- Martial Arts: He's a master of martial arts and has also been known to be able to copy the skill of others, learning as he fights them. He was trained in various forms of martial arts such as Aikido as well as other forms of fighting such as boxing and blind fighting.
- Stealth: He's good at concealing his presence in order to go unseen by enemies or sneak into a building.
- Survival: He knows how to survive on his own as well as keep others alive when needed.
- Hunting: Though he's a vegetarian, he knows how to hunt to survive.
- Tactical Analysis: He's good at analyzing a situation and figuring out the best, or best he's gonna get, course of action to take.
Paraphernalia:
- Trick Arrows: He has an array of trick arrows, each able to do something different.
- Bow: His bow is custom made specifically for him.
- Fighting Blades: He's been known to occasionally use small blades in battles.
- Ninja Stars: Though he mostly relies on archery and combat, he carries a few throwing stars with him.
Subject Weaknesses:
- Vulnerable: While he is able to withstand and take more than the average person, he's not entirely bulletproof or invulnerable. It's still very possible for him to get hurt, even critically injured.
- Arrows: When it comes to his archery, he's limited to the arrows he currently has on him in the field. These arrows can be broken or fall out of reach to reuse.
- Daddy Issues: He likes to think he doesn't have it, but there is tension between him and his father, especially after the last time they were together. This can easily cloud his judgement when his father's around or is brought up.
- Weakened Skill: Ever since waking up from a coma, his archery skill hasn't been what it was before. He's managed to retrain and get better but he doesn't think he's at the level he was before.
Subject History
Connor Hawke was born to a young Oliver Queen and Sandra "Moonday" Hawke, conceived after his parents had a one night stand. While his father was there after he was born and held him, Oliver was, unfortunately, not ready to be a father and left Sandra to raise Connor alone. He moved a lot with his mother as she went from one thing to another, not the most responsible of mothers but she was still his mother and he loved her.
At one point he stayed at his grandfather's cattle ranch in Idaho. However he had also become a problem child of sorts, getting into fights at school. That prompted his mother to tell him about his father - both Oliver Queen and Green Arrow. At the time she neglected to tell him that Oliver knew about his existence, though she would eventually. Shortly after that, Sandra left him at the very same ashram his father had once stayed at, hoping it would help him find inner peace.
After that, he was practically raised by those at the ashram. The most prominent figure in his life was Master Jansen, who had also briefly trained his father in the past. There he discovered himself and his natural ability for martial arts. He chose to study martial arts for many years. Over those years, he transformed from a troubled kid to a quiet, disciplined young man.
One day Oliver returned to the ashram. At the time Connor still didn't know his father had already met him and knew about him, so he considered it the first time he'd gotten to meet his father. He pretended to be Green Arrow's biggest fan which considering how highly he viewed his father at the time, wasn't that far from the truth. He even managed to help his father find some peace during his visit.
When Oliver left the ashram, Connor joined him. He wanted to spend more time with his father as well as become Green Arrow's newest sidekick. Both had been dreams he'd had for a long time. He had even fashioned his own bow and made his own costume.
After leaving the ashram, he met an associate of his father's by the name of Eddie Fyers. When Eddie figured out Connor was Oliver's son, Oliver was also confronted by the spirit of Hal Jordan, who revealed that Connor knew exactly who he was. Oliver took his frustration out on Connor, rejecting him for lying to him and leaving Connor behind. That, however, didn't stop Connor from wanting to help his father. He eventually found himself in Metropolis and even witnessed Oliver's death there as his father tried to stop a bomb.
Connor wanted to be the one to break the news of Oliver's death to Dinah Lance so he sought her out and visited her at her home. After a moment, Dinah decided to give him one of Oliver's pride possessions - a bow used by Errol Flynn as Robin Hood. Shortly after, he discovered he couldn't return to the ashram because Master Jansen claimed the ashram had lost their tax exempt status. Naturally Connor did all he could to help.
With Dinah's blessing, he also became the new Green Arrow, following in his father's footsteps and determined to keep up his father's work of protecting the little guy as well as trying to save the ashram. To accomplish both of those goals, he teamed up with Eddie.
His adventures as Green Arrow were strange to say the least. He fought many odd enemies, including doppelgangers of Bruce Lee and Elvis Presley. He even became closer friends with the current Green Lantern, at the time, Kyle Rayner and was eventually recruited into the Justice League, who he later saved from the Key. He proved himself to be crucial to the Justice League when he went undercover in Lex Luthor's Injustice Gang and helped bring them down.
One of Connor's most often enemies was his own stepfather, Milo Armitage, who had married his mother all the while being an arms dealer. Unfortunately while he wanted to keep his mother happy, he also had to bring Milo to justice on multiple occasions. Then Kyle approached him about wanting to find his father, who Eddie apparently had information on. Connor joined him in the search only for them to discover that the man was Kyle's uncle, not his father, and also a criminal.
When Connor and Eddie were in Tokyo, Japan, they were approached by seemingly average thugs - however those very same thugs insisted Eddie come with them and threatened to kill him if Connor followed. To Connor's dislike, Eddie chose to go with the thugs in order to protect him. Naturally he found some people to help him find Eddie, a group of kids around his own age. Unknown to him at the time, the group that had taken Eddie, known as Octopus Nine-Nine, were tasking Eddie with the job of killing the Black Canary.
Much to Connor's relief, neither Eddie nor Dinah ended up dying. Instead he ended up rescuing them both from Shado, who had attacked them thinking they were gangsters. Once the confusion was over, Shado helped the three heroes stop Singhman R'han.
Then in New York City, while he's shopping with his mother and Master Jansen, two people with advanced tech start attacking anyone they deem aren't "real Americans." Connor intervened but ended up needing to be saved by Kyle Rayner. However another fight soon broke out and, upon police intervention, turned into a riot. The two heroes were able to break up the riot and found out that the two people from earlier actually worked for Connor's stepfather, Milo.
After finding out that a tape meant to be broadcasted of two high profile individuals was clearly tampered with, the two heroes went to Milo to try to convince him to stop the broadcast but he denied any involvement. Connor and Kyle eventually discovered that Nicholas Kotero was behind it and raced to Central Park to try to stop the debate and a possible riot. Once there, Connor successfully convinced the people gathered to put aside their differences. Because of his speech, he was attacked by Kotero but easily won the fight and had Kotero arrested.
Connor eventually gained the status as the second greatest martial artist in the world when he managed to hold his own against Lady Shiva. The fight ended in a draw due to the interference of Tim Drake, the Robin at the time. Unfortunately prior to that time, he had lost the rights to the ashram. But after the fight against Lady Shiva, his confidence had been renewed and he returned to the ashram to win it back. He successfully defeated a fighter named Seljuk and returned the ashram to Master Jansen.
However instead of leaving the ashram, Connor decided to stay as a student once again. He was happy and proud to be the Green Arrow, but he felt he needed to figure out how to be his own Green Arrow and not his father's. This didn't stop him from being Green Arrow. When Richard Dragon returned and started causing trouble in Detroit, word quickly traveled to Connor. Together with Eddie Fyers, he traveled to Detroit to see what Richard was up to and, if necessary, put a stop to him.
When he finally came into contact with Richard, the two of them fought but were too evenly matched for either of them to claim victory. The fight only ended when both men were kidnapped by Lady Shiva. It was then that Connor realized he'd been dragged into a feud between Richard and Shiva. While held captive, he was forced to fight in a martial arts tournament in order to gain his freedom back. Eddie ended up being captured as well. The tournament came down to Connor and Richard with the winner scheduled to fight Shiva herself. Richard, whose intent was to kill Shiva but didn't want to kill Connor, ended up tricking Connor into a false escape attempt and breaking Connor's leg. Shiva then let Connor and Eddie go and the two of them returned to the ashram.
After that was when Connor had a dream that told him his father was alive and in danger. This led him to Star City where he confirmed that Oliver Queen was indeed alive again. He fought off demons, almost getting killed himself, to get to his father and try to stop him from becoming some sorcerer's pawn. Oliver ended up freeing himself just in time to help Connor fend off the demons. After the battle, Connor ended up staying in Star City and fighting crime at his father's side, both of them holding the mantle of Green Arrow.
At one point while out on patrol with Oliver, Onomatopoeia ambushed Connor and hot him in the head. The injury wasn't lethal, however, and Oliver was able to get him to the hospital where he received surgery and made a complete recovery afterwards. Though while he was in the hospital, Onomatopoeia attempted to finish the job only to be stopped by Oliver.
When Constantine Drakon broke into the Queen home, Connor was able to defeat him with the help of Mia Dearden. He was also at times the lone voice of reason and sanity in the house. When Oliver and Mia got hurt and it was revealed that Mia was H.I.V. positive, he got the two of them talking, confronting the issue. He also kissed Mia to help her understand that her diagnosis didn't make her dirty and undesirable.
Unfortunately Connor eventually became the target of the Secret Society of Super-Villains. They wanted to hurt him in order to hurt his father. While at the house with Mia, the two of them were attacked by Dr. Light. They were able to hold their own until Oliver and Black Lightning arrived - only to be trapped in the house with Black Lightning while Dr. Light kidnapped Oliver. Connor and Black Lightning were distracted trying to keep Mia, who had been badly injured alive only to have Merlyn destroy the house with explosives. Thankfully the three of them managed to survive the explosion, though not unscathed.
After getting Mia the medical attention she needed, he managed to find Oliver. He then took both Mia and Oliver to an uncharted island in the Western Pacific, where they were able to recoup and all three of them trained to become better for when they finally returned to Star City.
Before he returned to Star City, Connor stopped by the ashram to find his center again. While there, he was invited to take place in an archery tournament hosted by Zhao Industries in Beijing. He entered the tournament and fought against opponents such as Shado and the Bamboo Monkey, eventually being acknowledged as an equal to his father when it came to his skill in archery.
When it became clear that the tournament had been nothing more than manipulation by Zhao, Connor ended up being blackmailed into killing a mythical dragon with a sacred arrow when Zhao had Shado's son, Connor's half-brother, threatened. He successfully slayed the dragon only to discover Zhao wanted to bathe in its blood and gain god-like power. When he went to stop this, he found Zhao dead and Zhao's assistant in the blood instead. The two of them fought and it ended when Connor killed him with the same arrowhead used to slay the dragon.
Then when Oliver was captured and held prisoner by the Amazons, Connor aided Dinah and Mia in retrieving him, after discovering he'd been replaced by Everyman. The rescue seemed to go off without a hitch, the family of archers believing they had gotten away only for Connor to be struck with a bullet seemingly from nowhere. He was rushed to the hospital by Clark Kent. Unfortunately the bullet had been coated with a poison that both wiped his memories and left him in a coma.
While his family worked to find out who was behind the bullet and attack, Connor was kidnapped from the hospital and brought to Dr. Sivana. Along with his half-brother, Shado's son, Robert, he was experimented on by Dr. Sivana, from which he gained meta abilities. Both he and Robert were saved from Dr. Sivana. Once home, his new meta abilities were discovered as was the lack of his memories, along with the emotions that had come with those memories. He managed to maintain his skill in martial arts but had seemingly lost all skill in archery. He eventually returned to the ashram in an attempt to regain who he had once been.
Connor returned to Star City and his family when the Black Lantern Corps started wrecking havoc all over the world. He faced off against his own father, who had been taken under the control of a Black Lantern ring. He worked together with Dinah and Mia to try to hold Oliver off but then a psychic attack from one of Oliver's construct arrows caused him to relive and regain all of his lost memories suddenly, and even see a few of Oliver's, including Oliver leaving him and his mother, Sandra, when he'd been an infant. Newly reconnected to his memories, his past, his family, Connor managed to win the fight against Oliver.
Then Prometheus devastated Star City. Roy Harper was left maimed and Lian Harper was dead. Connor soon got wind that Oliver had killed Prometheus in retaliation for what had happened to Roy, Lian, and the city. He also heard that his father intended to kill the other villains that had helped Prometheus. Though other heroes tried to stop Oliver, Connor wasn't one of them. His focus was on Star City.
The city was left in chaos after Prometheus' actions with its citizens rioting, suffering, and dying. Connor tried his best to ease their suffering, to stop violence and keep the citizens of Star City as safe as he could. When he finally crossed paths with Oliver, he made it clear to his father that he was not going to try to stop him or convince him to stop. He also made it clear that he did not agree with Oliver, believing this latest lapse in judgement and moral of Oliver's was nothing compared to what the people of Star City were going through.
Due to the memories that had been returned to him and the latest tragedies to hit his family and the city, he found he could no longer forgive his father every time he made a bad call, every time he ran from his responsibilities. The two of them parted ways. Connor continued to try to save as many lives in the city as he could while his father continued on his path for revenge.
Subject Interview
Thump!
Connor hadn't seen his father in a while - since the two had last parted ways, and it hadn't been on the best of terms. He'd stuck his neck out for Ollie time and time again but it had been the last straw. Star City had needed saving and all his father had been out for was his own revenge. Connor hadn't been able to - nor wanted to help him. But he also hadn't stopped him.
He didn't avoid Star City - it was his home after all. And he wasn't outright avoiding Ollie. They just had yet to cross paths again. Perhaps Ollie was avoiding him, he didn't particularly want to think about that.
Thump!
Another carefully, precisely shot arrow struck it's target, knocking a gun out of an armed robber's hand. He focused on the battle. It was the one thing he could control - could predict. Perhaps he should have left a single gunman to the police, but he wasn't one to think this sort of fight was beneath him. Anyway he could help keep Star City safe was never beneath him.
The gunman ran at him with a knife and Connor quickly dodged before barely a second later sending an uppercut directly at the gunman's jaw. It collided and just as the gunman staggered back, he swung his leg out, colliding it with the man's side.
The gunman cursed but Connor was still right on him. He grabbed his wrist and twisted it the wrong way, hard - all the while managing to keep a grasp on his own bow. The gunman cried out and dropped his knife. Connor let his wrist go and sent his elbow right into the gunman's face. That did it as the gunman crumpled to the ground, holding his nose that Connor was certain was broken and moaning in pain.
He heard the sound of sirens and looked down the street to see police cruisers racing toward where he stood. He also saw he was surrounded by people with awe on their faces and their cellphones out - either recording or live-streaming, he wasn't ever sure nowadays.
He leaned back against a lamppost - the light was on as the sun was just starting to set - as police officers rushed by and handcuffed the gunman, confiscating his gun and knife. One officer watched him carefully while another gave him a smile and a thankful nod.
He returned the nod before walking over and retrieving his arrows. He politely declined requests to take a seflie from some of the onlookers, mentally sighing because he thought they should have realized he had a city to protect not selfies to take. He walked over to his bike that he had parked on the corner, putting his helmet on. He sped off to see what more trouble he could find.
No he wasn't really avoiding anyone. He just hoped he wasn't the one being avoided.
