Full Name: Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West
Codename: The Flash

Gender: Male
Archetype: Meta Hero
Aliases: Wally, The Fastest Man Alive
Marital Status: Married to Linda Park-West
Affiliation: The Justice League, The Titans, The Flash Family
Subject Attributes
Meta-Human Abilities:
Speed Force Conduit: Like most speedsters, Wally’s super speed comes from the Speed Force. Since he mainlines his power directly from the source, he cannot be cut off from it as others can. He’s able to break all barriers including entering and returning from the Speed Force itself. It is believed that he is the fastest Flash ever.
Superhuman Speed: His primary power also allows him to perform the infinite mass punch, travel through time & dimensions, regeneration, phasing through solid objects, limited flight abilities, increased perceptions, supercharged brain activity, and the creation of vortexes.
Decelerated Aging: He and his loved ones gain eternal youth from the Speed Force.
Speed Constructs: Through focused concentration Wally can create solid constructs out of the Speed Force energy including pockets, sealing his suit, and even the suit itself.
Lending the Force: He can add velocity to any object or person already in motion, allowing him to have non-speedsters run alongside him.
Steal Speed: He can take the momentum from moving objects and people, including other speedsters, barrowing it to add to his own.
Speed Force Aura: His body is surrounded by what he calls his "Speed Force Aura". This aura protects him and anyone who is running with him or carried by him, from the effects of using his speed. This includes friction and airborne particulate matter. It also protects him from injury from high speed impacts such as punches he delivers and receives from his opponents. With this aura he is able to absorb kinetic energy and inertia. Wally can sync his aura with his children, giving him the ability to pull either of them to him with a thought.
Superhuman Attributes: His Speed Force connection also grants him superhuman endurance, self sustenance, and accelerated healing.
Standard Abilities: Wally possesses mechanical aptitude that allows him to work as a mechanic for the police department and has a good amount of hand to hand combat training.
Paraphernalia: The Flash Ring-a ring with a lightning bolt design and spring loaded opening used to store his costume when he is not wearing it.
Subject Weaknesses:
-Due to his accelerated metabolism, he has to consume large amounts of food more often.
-He is also susceptible to telepathic attacks.
-Wally has been known to become overly arrogant, so sure of his powers and skills that he underestimates some enemies, especially those he thinks appear to be less of a threat than they are.
-Fear has also been known to be a hindrance whether it is Wally fearing for the safety of his family and friends, the mental blocks he has formed out of fear of not living up to Barry's legacy, or the fear that being the Fastest Man Alive is still not fast enough to save those he cares about.
Subject History
As a preteen, Wally West wanted nothing more than to be a superhero, especially one like the Flash, a hero he idolized so much that he acted as the president of the Flash Fan Club. During a visit to Central City to visit his Aunt Iris, he accompanied her boyfriend Barry Allen (secretly the Flash) to his lab at the police station, the site of Allen’s transformation into the Flash. Little did anyone realize that on that day lightning would indeed strike twice, exposing the young West to the same chemical concoction that Barry himself had been. Upon discovering he had gained the same abilities as Barry, he was taken under Flash’s wing and became his sidekick Kid Flash. With his super speed powers Wally was known as a smart mouthed, somewhat arrogant kid, but was nonetheless a valuable addition to the Flash’s mission to combat evil. Wally even went on to become a founding member of the Teen Titans.
Unfortunately, living his dream came at a cost. His powers reacted differently than Barry’s, eventually threatening his life every time he used them. This revelation caused Wally to grow resentful as he turned his back on all things speed related and left the Titans. However he was healed under the worst of circumstances as he was hit by a blast of energy during the Crisis event, the same catastrophe that cost his uncle Barry his life. With his speed restored albeit at lower levels, he begrudgingly picked up the mantle of the Flash to carry on his Uncle Barry’s legacy. Unsure of himself and often second guessing if he was worthy of being called Flash he became something of a playboy until finally maturing and settling down with Linda Park, a television news reporter he had been in a long-term relationship with. Despite growing up he only regained his full speed during a battle with the Reverse-Flash, breaking through the psychological barriers keeping him from reaching his full potential.
Since then Wally has come into his own as the Flash, married Linda, and had two children Iris (named for his aunt) and Jai. He has had adventures and fought evil both on his own and with the Justice League and had ventured into other dimensions and times on more than one occasion. His views on villains matured as well, at one time trying to guide some of the Rogues down the path to becoming a hero. He had even grown to accept and like Bart Allen, the new Kid Flash from the far flung future. Things were looking fairly good as far as a life can for a superhero.
His life took a dramatic turn however during the Infinite Crisis when Jay Garrick, Bart, and he attempted to trap the maniacal Superboy-Prime within the Speed Force to stop his assault on the Teen Titans. What followed was a whirlwind of events that saw Wally temporarily retire as the Flash, passing the speedforce and mantle on to Bart while he and his family tried to make a new life for themselves on the alien world of Savoth. Peace was short lived however as the rapid aging of his children Irey and Jai forrced his hand. Returning to Earth with the aid of the Legion of Superheroes, Wally discovered the true cause of the aging to not be the Speedforce as he had surmised, but instead The Black Flash. After battling the Black Flash and absorbing fragments of the Speedforce from the entity, his children reverted to their proper ages and he resumed duties as the Flash.
Wally's return to the mantle was just in time for the earth shattering revelation that his mentor Barry was not actually dead. Having somehow survived within the Speedforce following his apparent demise during his stopping the Anti-Monitor, Barry Allen was back. The celebration was short lived however as the Speedforce had become tainted courtesy of another blast from the past: Eobard Thawne the Reverse-Flash. Though he managed to aid his uncle Barry in saving his Aunt Iris from Thawne he was left to deal with the shock of not only losing fellow speedster Johnny Quick, but also the revelation that Jai was supposedly going to be his downfall one day.
As is usually the case for the Flash he hardly had time to process all the recent happenings when the rise of Nekron and the start of the Blackest Night forced him to join forces with Bart and others to spread the message of the incoming invasion to all the heroes they could find. During the battle Wally temporarily had to handle the fact that a black ring had attached to Bart and arrive in Coast City in time to help the Lanterns and other heroes stand against Nekron. Since the climatic battle he's returned to Keystone, sharing the mantle with Barry as he tries to raise his family, protect his home, and serve on the Justice League and the Titans.

Running. For as long as Wally could remember he had been running. Being a speedster, especially being the Flash, running and going fast were kind of in the job description. In times past he felt that the world moved so very slow compared to him that it could almost drive him insane. He sometimes felt like one of those bugs they discover, frozen forever in amber. Sometimes though, just sometimes, there were things that made even the Flash slow down.
For days now he had heard rumors of a new gang that had moved into town, rumors that had all but been confirmed by one of the Rogues who didn’t appreciate the competition. Supposedly, they were targeting the homeless while shouting something in a weird language. Now that he saw them with his own eyes he also knew they were wearing the most ridiculous outfits he had ever seen. Each wore clothes that made them look like they stepped out of a Harry Potter convention or maybe the Renaissance Fair. One even had on a bathrobe.
A moment later and there was a red and yellow blur that darted down the alleyway, the men whom Flash now realized were teenagers, finding their hands empty as the speedster took their knives away in the blink of an eye. He had likewise removed the homeless man they were beating on and taken him swiftly to the local hospital.
“Okay,” he told the leader. “I have seen it all now. Normally I get guys with freeze guns and exploding boomerangs, but this? This is new.”
The punk was still staring at his empty hand in disbelief.
“So, I’ll bite. What has Darth Ringwraith, Lord of Bath Robes and his band of blanket wearing dorks come to my city for? I mean seriously, everyone knows Keystone is protected by the Flash. It’s on the sign leading into town and everything. They even have a day celebrating us speedsters and I'm pretty sure it's advertised on tourist commercials. So what the heck were you thinking?” the Scarlet Speedster asked.
Just then he heard a police siren in the near distance.
“Holdthatthought, we’ll continue this when I get back,” he declared so quickly words blended. “Also, try not to wiggle too much. You know, rope burn and all. Back in in a...well you know.”
The Flash vanished, off to help somewhere else, leaving the teens hogtied before they even realized it had occurred. It was just another day in the life of the Fastest Man Alive.
