Participants: TBD! Open/Closed: Open to anyone. Location(s): Outer space, far from both Earth and New Rann. Time of Day: Unknown. Weather: Chance of meteor showers. Summary: Komand'r has been looking for evidence that the Citadel is coming back after her people. A high-tech stealth satellite from the Citadel was discovered in New Rann's atmosphere. Under the impression that they were being monitored, Komand'r took to the skies with a small team of guards.
Blackfire looked out into space as it zoomed by her, stars and planets turning into streaks as they sped after their target. "Do not lose them." Her men gave no verbal response but it wasn't needed, they knew what was at stake. Their people had faced the Citadel and its forces more times than they cared to admit and Komand'r could only imagine what was going through their heads right now. She had lead the Citadel against them in the past and they all knew the havoc that they were capable of creating. The Queen had a fire in her heart that hadn't been there in a long time, the fire of battle, of war. Her eyes were narrowed, glowing brightly in the dim lighting of her ship. The display technology built into the window up front showed how far they were from the smaller ship they pursued, a pop-up in the lefthand corner providing a zoomed-in image of the ship.
It bore no sigil or special markings, a ship that was as dark as the empty space it flew through. Komand'r recognized the technology, the shape of its wings and the power in its jets. She knew that this was a member of the Citadel, a scout sent to spy on her and her people. The Citadel had no reason to monitor someone unless they were preparing for something else. An attack? Another invasion? Another world destroyed? "Fire."
More anger, but different than ever before. This anger was birthed from a feeling of desperation. Her people were mending, beginning their new lives in a new world that she had helped prepare for them. She had fought for their trust, she had fought to defend and now she would fight like never before. The weight of her people were on her shoulders and she had never been happier to bear such a weight. Bolts of solar energy, harnessed and stored in her ship much like it was in her body, began to rain down on the Citadel scout. The pilot dodged by rolling this way and that, taking dips and turns that were difficult to follow in a ship any bigger.
But her crew was well trained and well prepared. They followed the ship better than even she expected, keeping the bolts saved for whenever they had a direct line of sight. All the while, they continued to speed through space. A navigation system kept track of their path, noting what quadrant of what galaxy they were passing through on their chase. Finally the ship in front of them slowed and as they came up behind it the space around them came to a halt. Meteors surrounded them, some turning slowly in place while others floated away from the force of their ships.
Komand'r rose from her feet, knowing exactly why the scout had stopped here. Before her crew could get one blast out, the ship was gone. Small and nimble it was able to twist and turn around the meteors quickly, hiding somewhere in the mix of them. Blackfire stepped onto the evac-pad and prepared for her exit into space. "Keep your guard up." was the last thing she said before her ship teleported her outside of the cockpit. This scout had no idea what he'd just gotten himself into.
