He wasn't sure who was going to meet up with him, but Virgil stood in line at a local Sundollar coffee shop. Decked out in a Dekota Destroyers basketball grey short sleeved t-shirt hoodie, baggy black gym shorts, and a nice pair of blue sneakers, Virgil had his dreadlocks in something of a manbun-ponytail. Along with his clothing, some Kinesiology tape was clearly visible as the tape he had used on his left shoulder snakes down to his elbow, as well as some covering his knee on the same side.
Outside of his usual training with his teammates, Virgil had been working on his powers to be even more versatile than they already were. While he could magnetically charge things, and reverse the polarity of objects, he mostly used this to affect the properties of said items. This usually manifested in making his iconic saucer provide him a mode of flight. But, as Virgil had began to wonder, if he could affect himself. He already could create barriers around himself, and use himself as a magnet, amongst other things, so why could he not cause himself to act like his own saucer? Why couldn't he fly under his own power? So Virgil had begun dedicating time to working out ways to grant himself flight; either by changing his own magnetic charge, changing the particles in the air, something else science-y. All of this had resulted in some success...And some failures. Virgil's bruised and taped up body was a testament to that.
As he had battered himself enough, he figured he'd try to get together with a teammate of his outside of the Tower. That was why he was now waiting at Sundollar for one of his compatriots. While the line-up was fairly long, Virgil was about halfway in it. One of the workers noted all the tape on Virgil and asked if he was okay. "Just some full-contact ball with the guys. Makes it more fun" The employee then pointed to Virgil's shirt and asked what he thought of the game last night. "Man I don't wanna think about it. Javier blew so many calls. It's whatever though, we're still in a good spot to make the playoffs. One BS game aint gonna ruin that"
As the line continued to move, Virgil quickly checked his phone, then the door. Maybe he told his teammates the wrong Sundollar.
